In 2009, I was blessed with the opportunity to create a platform for local artists from the Portland metro area to share their gifts with the masses. It began with recorded podcasts on KZME.FM before growing to a weekly show on 107.1FM in Portland. I've interviewed local MCs and community activists, hosted DJs who blessed the show with special mixes, witnessed and shared amazing in-studio rhyme sessions and interviewed artists, actors and directors from all over the country.

This local radio station I've been privileged to grow with over these years is going away, and there is a new station that is continuing the mission of making great radio in 91.1FM KXRY. The two organizations are in the process of merging into something great for the Portland airwaves and Welcome to the Neighborhood is in need of a new home to continue to bring you more of what you are looking for, nothing but the very best from the northwest and world wide!
