One of the reasons I'm excited to be back on the air is the opportunity to promote cool events and this Saturday is one of those! MC Brother Ali will be live at the Hawthorne Theater along with Bambu and Mally and this is a show I won't miss.

I've said for a minute that we have to dig to find a certain level of MC now due to a lack of balance in hip hop. It's easy to find artists talking about the latest come-up but more challenging to find artists speaking on some conscious content and Brother Ali fits that bill so he gets my support.

This week on WTTN I'll be featuring select cuts from the Mourning In America project in preparation of heading over the the Hawthorne after the broadcast. Hope to see you there!
