Champagne & Honey at TBA:17 - Stakes Is High

1nce Again it's on! I'm excited to have the opportunity to curate a night of music for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, Time Based Art Festival and this night promises to be special!

I've been able to share music from Champagne Duane for years on Welcome to the Neighborhood and as great as he sounds on record, seeing him perform live is truly an event. With frequent collaborator Jonny Cool and a full band, they run through a combination of material from both emcees as well as cover some hip-hop classics.

I'm especially grateful to have Duane on this night of music as we take time to reflect on the times we are living in. On his latest release The Campaign, he promotes thought and dares to ask the tough questions that we often wash over, as he does on the track Gun Control.

Also on the night is Portland emcee Wynne, an artist who has been gaining attention recently from an Instagram video of her rhyming, but she's been at it for a minute. A true lyricist, she showcases her skill on the track CVTVLYST flowing for 6 minutes straight!

The night continues on with the official Portland Trail Blazers DJ O.G. One in the mix. As he continues on the #djogoneroadtorecovery he will take you on a musical journey through hip-hop, funk and soul keeping you dancing 'til dawn (or until they turn the lights up)

Tickets are available now through the TBA:17 website. We are trying to get 400 people in the building, so everybody bring a friend. Spread the word and let's come together for a great night of music in the PDX.
