Mic Check PDX January - The best one yet?

Mic Check PDX has quickly become a can't-miss monthly hip-hop showcase. Each event seems to outdo the previous month, which is a big task when you consider the artists that have performed.

The January edition of the event continues that tradition with two Portland emcees that have literally represented the city all over the planet.

Headliner Vursatyl, a member of Lifesavas, has consistently been an example of a true lyricist. Writing and performing with Jumbo and Rev Shines, blessing stages with Blackalicious, guest verses and features, solo work...consistent emcee. To have the chance to see this man perform in a venue like the White Eagle is truly a event not to miss.

Sleep of Oldominion is an emcee like no other. His stage presence is engaging balancing heartfelt rhymes with comedic wordplay. A veteran who's freestyles simply can't be touched he's the kind of emcee you'll talk about having witnessed live for years to come.
