Mic Check August Edition
On August 31st, Mic Check is back at McMenamin's White Eagle and this month promises to be a banger.
Headlining the bill is North Portland emcee Mic Capes, an artist who performed at the very first Mic Check back in 2016.
Mic just released a new project with his tour DJ, producer Drae Slapz titled Sheesh. The project, available today on all digital platforms, provides a look at Capes that listeners of his last project will dig for sure as it further displays his verbal dexterity and skill as an MC. Providing the intellectual content you'd expect from Capes, while Drae's production allows him space to move freely.
Expect Mic to perform content from the new project along with favorites from his full length Concrete Dreams, like Jumper Cables:
Also on the bill is Portland producer and emcee Fountaine fresh of his latest release H.F.I.L. making his first appearance at the monthly event.
Mic Check will also feature a performance from Kansas emcee Cash Hollitah who is on a west coast run.
