Marley Brothers and Show Things

I’ve been to countless concerts, from local up and coming acts, live bands in an intimate venue, major pop stars in an arena. I’m telling you, the Marley Brothers Legacy Tour is one of the best shows I’ve ever experienced.

The fellas truly celebrated the legacy of Bob Marley, starting the set with well known selections, transitioning into cuts steeped in words of freedom and uprising against oppression. They wove in and out of verses, trading lead duties bringing their individual style and sound while embodying the spirit of their father.

Maintaining high energy for an hour or so, each of the brothers then performed one song from their own catalogue before coming back to close out what truly a night to remember.

If you have the opportunity to see the tour of it’s coming to your area, don’t miss it.

One of my favorite emcees is coming back to the west coast!

I hosted Homeboy Sandman last year as he headlined the 7 year anniversary of Mic Check PDX to a full room at McMenamins Mission Theater. In October he’ll be back at the venue for the Wild Wild Rich Tour playing joints from the Rich series of releases.

If you’re a fan of intelligent, thoughtful lyricism, or a fan of dope Hip Hop, you should be in the building. Hit the link for tickets to the Portland show. https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/74581992/homeboy-sandmanall-ages-portland-mcmenamins-mission-theater

The No Requests PDX Hip Hop Week event was a great success. Having the opportunity to host guest DJs, support the community with a food drive, build with local vendors, celebrate a local creative, feature a single release from a legend…I think we may need to do it again.

We’ll be back with our free, monthly set on Sunday September 29th. Come through and vibe with us.
